Desert Camp

A Night at the Sahara

A secluded desert camp where canvas and lantern light rise quietly from the heart of the Sahara Desert—a place few ever reach. Though hidden in vastness, every detail exudes luxury. The chopper fades, leaving wind over warm dunes. At dusk the sand cools beneath your feet, stars press closer, and the silence settles deep, vast enough to hear yourself again.

Night markets of the medina

The hustle and bustle of the night market hums with energy—smoke rising from open grills, spontaneous audiences gathering around storytellers, and lantern light washing over brass trays and woven rugs.

Culinary & Cultural Immersion

Walking into Berber Life

Beyond the polished paths of Morocco, a walk climbs into the Atlas Mountains—past apple orchards and berry farms where trust lets you pluck as you wander. Humble homes welcome you with woodsmoke, warm smiles, and a fire-cooked meal quietly reshaping how you see abundance, trust, and joy.

When to Go

Peak Season

October – November & March – April

The sweet spot for Morocco across all three landscapes simultaneously — Marrakech, the Atlas Mountains, and the Sahara. Temperatures are ideal for medina walking and mountain trekking, desert nights are cold and star-filled, and the light carries a quality that mid-summer and deep winter don’t replicate. Spring brings wildflowers to the Atlas valleys and a fresh, flowering energy. Autumn turns everything golden, the souks quieter, the desert light at its most beautiful.

Shoulder Season

December – February

A quieter, more intimate Morocco. Marrakech empties of crowds, riad courtyards feel genuinely private, and the High Atlas wears snow on its upper ridges — visible from the city’s rooftops on clear mornings. Desert days remain warm and clear; nights are cold enough to make a fire under the Sahara sky feel essential. Occasional rain in the city and snow on the higher passes require some flexibility.

Off Season

May – September

Extreme heat in the city and desert — regularly 40°C and above. The mountains offer relief at altitude. For those drawn to Morocco’s great riads and desert camps, exceptional rates and complete solitude await.

Suggested Stay

8 – 12 Days

Eight days threads Marrakech, the High Atlas, and the Sahara unhurriedly — the classic Morocco arc. Ten to twelve days adds the Atlantic or Mediterranean coast — where properties like Royal Mansour Tamuda Bay and La Sultana Oualidia offer a rarified, unhurried Morocco that most travelers never find — or deeper south through the Draa Valley and ancient kasbahs.

Pairs Well With

Neighbouring Journeys

Morocco pairs naturally with southern Spain — Seville, Granada, and the shared Moorish heritage that connects the two across the Strait of Gibraltar — Portugal for a broader Iberian arc, Jordan for a Middle Eastern continuation of ancient medina culture, or Egypt for a North African journey of extraordinary historical depth.
